On talking to Service Users who are members of the Safe Places project, the consensus is thus: "Just having the card with me makes me feel more secure when I am out in the community."
Although, to date, nobody has felt the need to use the Safe Place,s the membership card has come in useful for businesses.
One of our Service Users visited a bank and left, leaving her handbag. There were no personal details in the bag except the Safe Places membership. The bank called the phone number on the front of the card and not before long, the bag was reunited with owner.
